The Moulin du Merle offers a refuge to those who want to reflect and reconsider their current practice or conceive of new projects in quiet concentration. Also here the debate with peers and constituencies of (the production/publishing/distribution of) art, design and media unfolds. Attracted by its unique atmosphere and location as much as by its connectedness to dislocated international cultural production, guests can pitch their visibility and answerability for a day, a week, a month—any length of time.
From fall 1999 the 'villa du moulin' will host and accommodate individuals and small groups. Its facilities are clean and light rooms, a library, Apple Macintosh and PC computation, Internet connectivity, local and international food and drinks, various recreational gear, a large garden and terrain on 1.7ha of land, along the Beuvron river, abundant with fish, with great possibilities for hiking and biking.
