19990726: Summer 1999 we have partly rearanged the moulin; true to our decision to as much as possible leave it 'as is' during the first year, apart from some tests, we have not touched the walls, floors or garden, mainly furnished it and added a (very productive) vegetable test bed to the garden.

19990000: The Moulin du Merle's interior, from the broker's snapshots. The upper photo's show the hallway (left) and a view along the south axis with the ground floor rooms aligned.
The lower photo's show left to right part of the mill's interior, the old electric switchboard and the master bedroom with on the left of the far wall another wheel to regulate the current on the water wheel. Because there's no direct view from this room on the water wheel, adjustments were calculated by listening to the water's force on the wheel. For this purpose a narrow tube down is situated next to the wheel.
